DreamLeague Group Stage 2 Fourth Day Recap

News
Published at: 2023-06-19 22:32:00

Day four of DreamLeague’s second group stage has ended, and we had some very spicy matchups for the day. Quinn faces off RAMZES666, where the Gladiators could take the series 2-1 against 9 Pandas, PSG.LGD withstand a shock from Talon to remain undefeated, BetBoom defeated Team Spirit to maintain a 4-0 record, and Evil Geniuses continue to beat down a struggling Team Aster.

If you couldn’t catch the matches for day four, here are the games you should watch.

Games To Watch

Gaimin Gladiators vs. 9 Pandas - Game 1

The first game in the grudge match between Gaimin Gladiators and 9 Pandas delivered all the hype built up around the series. There was lots of tipping between players, and the game had many back-and-forth team fights.

9 Pandas took control of the game at the 37-minute mark, with an Aegis advantage in the hands of kiyotaka’s Morphling. Despite the lead, Ace’s Tidehunter got an excellent Ravage to kill kiyotaka’s first life, followed by Seleri’s Aghanim’s Scepter Static Storm to kill the Morphling a second time.

This team fight changed the game completely, and the Gladiators were able to take the game shortly after.

PSG.LGD vs. Talon - Game 1

Another exciting series for the day was two Asian teams, PSG.LGD facing off Talon. Game 1 of the series was exciting, as PSG.LGD had a very farmed shiro Medusa, but that was a double-edged sword as Talon had Shadow Demon to capitalize on Medusa’s wealth.

PSG.LGD were in control throughout the first 40 minutes of the game, but Talon took a great team fight in the 41st minute, where Oli’s Shadow Demon created Medusa illusions to kill shiro. This team fight victory helped Talon claim the Aegis and look to perform a comeback against PSG.LGD.

Unfortunately, not much was done during the 5-minute window with the Aegis. At 51 minutes, another massive team fight happened in the Radiant Bottom Outpost, where PSG.LGD were able to come out on top, killing 23savage’s Medusa. PSG.LGD went on to go to Talon’s high ground, and despite multiple buybacks from the Talon side, shiro seemed unstoppable and PSG.LGD were able to end the game.

Team Spirit vs. BetBoom - Game 1

The Eastern European showdown between Team Spirit and BetBoom was the next course on the menu. Team Spirit have a great head-to-head record against BetBoom, but Nightfall and the crew look very sharp in DreamLeague Season 20.

Team Spirit destroyed the laning stage in Game 1, with a 4,000 net worth lead when the clock hit 10. Spirit continued to take control of the Mid Game, claiming an early lane of Barracks at 24 minutes.

However, disaster struck for Team Spirit, as they took an awful team fight at the Bottom Lane, where BetBoom were allowed to kill Yatoro, Collapse, and Miposhka without losing any hero. With three enemy heroes dead, BetBoom took Roshan and gave the Aegis to Nightfall’s Anti-Mage.

BetBoom could walk up to Spirit’s high ground with the Aegis advantage and end the game shortly after.
