World ranking overview after DPC Regional League Season 2
A weekly update of the world ranking of professional Dota 2 teams has appeared on our website. Last week, the second season of Dota Pro Circuit Season 2 finished in all regions and brought many changes.
There is an interesting situation with the first position. Invictus Gaming finished the second season of DPC: China only in 4th place, but they had enough points that they saved earlier to keep the first position in the ranking and not let Virtus Pro, who became the champion of the DPC: CIS, to climb.
The strongest team of China, Team Aster, rose to the 5th position and got close to Evil Geniuses: only 22 points are separating them. Team Aster is followed by another North American team, Quincy Crew, who became the winner in their region.
In the world ranking, the first team from Europe was Alliance, who ranked 7th. The victory in the European region gave many points and even allowed them to get ahead of Team Secret, who was leading for a long time. Interestingly, Alliance got into the Top-10 for the first time since November 2020.
T1 showed the most impressive jump from the Top-10. Last week they were in 29th place, and now — already in the 10th position. The team became the champion of DPC: SEA Season 2, beating TNC Predator in a tie-break.
South American team NoPing, who sensationally won the second season in their region, took 15th place. They almost had enough points to get ahead of TNC Predator, occupying the 14th position.
Also, we see severe falls in the ranking of several famous teams at once. In the second season of the Regional Leagues, Natus Vincere, Elephant, OG, Fnatic, and the many other teams performed weaker than expected.
In the next couple of weeks, the team will prepare for WePlay AniMajor, so don't wait for considerable changes. But this doesn't mean that they cannot happen. You can follow the current ranking on the page — World Ranking of Professional Dota 2 Teams.
