The Gladiators And Azure Ray Make Top Four At The Cost Of Liquid And BetBoom Team
We’re down to only four teams after Team Liquid and BetBoom Team were forced to exit the tournament. But the heartbreaks and eliminations do not stop here, as one more team will say goodbye by the end of today.
At this point, we’ve lost count of how many times the Gladiators have met Team Liquid this year, and the result didn’t change much. The Gladiators could bounce back after a tilting loss in Game 1 and win the series after a reverse sweep.
This loss meant Team Liquid would be sent home. Zai is likely to at least take a break, but this could also lead to retirement.
On the other side of the Lower Bracket, Azure Ray pulls off an upset to eliminate the BetBoom Team. The two teams exchanged maps, and Azure Ray could win the third game with their Luna draft.
At the end of Game 3, Azure Ray dropped “?”s in all chat, and position five player Tian Ming also said, “bu tai xing a xiao lao di”, which translates to “not good enough, little brother.”
However, it’s too early to celebrate for both survivors, as they are tasked to play against each other in yet another elimination match. The bloodshed has not ended, as TI only has a few more matches remaining.
