Team Falcons Win 6th Title After Taking Down BetBoom Team At DreamLeague Season 24
After showing struggles throughout the second Group Stage of DreamLeague Season 24 and barely scraping past to reach the Playoffs, Team Falcons have redeemed themselves to display a dominant performance in their Lower Bracket run.
The Falcons had an extremely convincing run through the Playoffs, taking down Team Spirit and PARIVISION in two clean 2-0’s to reach the Grand Final, where they were tasked to face the BetBoom Team that went 12-3 in the previous Group Stage.
The MENA squad essentially had control over all four maps, only losing the second one due to a few missteps that were punished immediately by the BetBoom Team, mainly kiyоtaka's Shadow Fiend who ended up getting a Rampage to win the second map.
However, the remaining maps were a wash in favor of the Falcons, who won the series with a quick and clean 3-1 win. Their first-place finish rewarded them with $300,000 for over two weeks of hard work, while the new BetBoom Team squad was given $175,000 as compensation.
This marks the 6th S-Tier victory for the powerhouse squad in 2024, and they will be going to ESL One Bangkok 2024 in a month as the clear favorite.
