Liquid And BetBoom Survive In ESL One Kuala Lumpur At The Cost Of Falcons And Tundra
After the Liquid versus Secret match, which ended 2-0 in favor of m1CKe and the crew, Tundra Esports played against the BetBoom Team in an elimination match.
The series featured two long, drawn-out games where the BetBoom Team could come out on top in the battle of attrition. In the midst of the two farming games, the BetBoom players died to the Tormentor, which has happened multiple times at this point. The CIS roster could outfarm Tundra in both games and take the series 2-0, though it wasn’t the cleanest win.
The last game of the day featured a rematch between Team Liquid and Team Falcons. Liquid had to play their second series in the day. Though it may be tiring for them, they got a warm-up series in the new patch against Secret.
The Falcons came out on top in their Group Stage matchup against Team Liquid, where the MENA squad took the win 2-0. However, Liquid on the main stage was a totally different beast.
In the first game, Nisha went for a last-pick Huskar, anticipating Malr1ne’s Dragon Knight in the middle lane. However, after outsmarting Team Liquid with a lane swap, the Falcons could take the first game convincingly.
Team Liquid went for an interesting draft in Game 2, picking Carry Leshrac and Omniknight Off Lane. Still, Liquid thrives in chaos, and they could keep the series level. In the deciding map, Team Liquid completely outdrafted the Falcons. Thanks to a Rampage from m1CKe’s Bloodseeker, the boys in blue could advance to the next stage, knocking the Falcons out of the event.
Tomorrow, the Upper Bracket match between Azure Ray and Gaimin Gladiators will be played, and we will say goodbye to two more teams in the Lower Bracket.
