BOOM Esports wins the DPC: SEA Regional Final

BOOM Esports has become the champion of the DPC Southeast Asia Regional Final. In the grand final, the team defeated T1 with a 3-1 score. Unfortunately, T1 had to play the last map with a substitute because their midlaner ??Karl "Karl" Matthew Baldovino couldn't solve the problem with his Internet connection. The winner earned $50,000 and 250 DPC points.

Both finalists, T1 and BOOM Esports, announced roster changes days before the Regional Finals began. Thus, in T1, ??Kim "Gabbi" Villafuerte Santos played instead of ??Nuengnara "23savage" Teeramahanon, and in BOOM Esports, ??Souliya "JaCkky" Khoomphetsavong played instead of Justine Ryan Evangelista "Tino" Grimaldo. However, this fact didn't stop the teams from showing excellent play during the tournament.

After the Regional Final, the Southeast Asia DPC season leaderboard was updated. Right now, the table looks like this:

  • BOOM Esports – 550 DPC points
  • T1 – 250 DPC points
  • Fnatic – 180 DPC points
  • Team SMG – 60 DPC points
  • Neon Esports – 30 DPC points

The next season of DPC: SEA is scheduled for March 16 – April 21. The prize pool for 2 divisions is $280,000 and 920 DPC points. Teams from the Upper Division will compete for 3 slots for the Spring Major.
