The second day of the WePlay AniMajor Playoffs is over. Today 4 teams left the tournament just one step away from the prizes, finishing in 9th-12th places.

TNC Predator 2:1 Team Aster

The day opened with a meeting between the South Asian and Chinese teams. Let's be clear — it was an extremely entertaining match. In a close contest, TNC Predator won with a 2:1 score and continued a race for a direct invite to The International. However, with 800 DPC points, Team Aster has already secured a place in the main tournament of the year despite the loss. It became known after a detailed analysis of the rules of the invite distribution.

The match was incredibly intense: the teams played a complete BO3 series, with each map lasting more than 38 minutes. The second map deserves special attention, with TNC Predator losing more than 20,000 in gold at one point, but an unbelievable fight on the Rosh Pit and the theft of the aegis turned over the series. Team Spirit 2:1 Alliance

The second match was between the teams from the CIS and Europe. At stake in this meeting was not only passing on but also continuing to compete for a direct invite to The International. If Alliance lost here, they still had a chance for a direct invite, but for Team Spirit, victory was necessary. And the CIS team gained it, though they had to play a complete BO3 series to get it.

If the teams showed a high-class game on the first two maps and each had a chance to win, Team Spirit flattened their opponent on the third one. The CIS team finished the map on the 29th minute with a 25:2 score. Today they will face Vici Gaming.

Vici Gaming 2:1 Virtus Pro

The third match of the gaming day was the confrontation between Virtus Pro and Vici Gaming. Before the start of the match, analysts favored Vici Gaming because they had to win to get the invitation to the main tournament of the year, while Virtus Pro already got it. The Chinese team managed to find the motivation and won this meeting with a 2:1 score.

The first and third maps of the match were especially spectacular, and both were with a similar scenario. Till the middle of the maps, Vici Gaming had the minimum advantage, but it felt that Virtus Pro could change the game at any moment, but it didn't happen. Evil Geniuses 2:1 NoPing Esports

The last match was a confrontation between the South and North Americas. There were Evil Geniuses that had already secured their place in The International 10 and NoPing that had 585 DPC points.

Unlike the previous match, where Vici Gaming was able to find the motivation and win at the right time, NoPing couldn't do that. The match ended with a 2:1 score in favor of Evil Geniuses. Thus, NoPing lost a direct invite and would have to take part in the qualifiers for the main tournament of the year.
